The Shanti Foundation's first emergency response started in the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal which killed more than 9000 people leaving many more thousands injured. Shanti Foundation provided medical and material assistance to the quake-affected areas, reconstructing damaged and destroyed health facilities, and schools.
